Well Michael Whitsett is my actual name but I just shortened the Michael into Mike’ but before Mike’ Whitsett there was Nuc’Kas McFlyy then I changed it to Nuc’Kas Forte’ because I thought that so many people was starting to claim McFlyy so I thought of Forte’, which means strength in French, so that was brilliant to me; But of course I got to college and found my own name is within me so it’s currently Mike’ Whitsett.
Who would you compare yourself to in the rap game, if anyone?
Honestly nobody because no one is or went t\through the same troubles that I went through growing up, so nobody in my opinion; I feel like I’m very diferrent than other artists across the world so my approach differ.
Who dominates your ipod/mp3 player? (3-5 artists)
Umm wow it’s has to be Tyga, Nipsey Hussle, Wiz Khalifa, YC The Cynic, & Kanye West
If you could open up for any artist, who would it be?
I would have to go with Tyga because I really admire his hustle and how he is so different from others so Tyga.
What up and coming artists have you been keeping your eye on?
Well I believe that my eye has been on Kendrick Lamar, I like everything about the kat he has an amazing style and dope stories to tell
What do you want to accomplish in the next 3-5 years?
Well in the next three to five years I will love to actually have major fans and supporters all over the world, for me to be acknoledge by the industry causing me to hit XXL magazine, just mainly get out there into the industry with a label record, mainly just really huge movements become real.
What message are you trying to get out to your audience?
Well my message come from a ton of artists around the world and thats basically just knowing and having faith that you can and will make a dream turn to reality no matter how many times you fall. If you believe and work hard all of your dreams are at a door waiting for you with the key to enter a world of success.
What is your main goal you want to accomplish if you make it big?
Well when I make it big I truly will love to give back to my city and help other talented artist get on and live their dreams like I did. My family will not struggle anymore because when I eat they shall feast with me no matter what occurs.
So what else do you do besides rap? Any other passions?
Well I do a lot I’m currently in college studying in the business department, I use to play football but I came to college and I was too small so I never tried again but I still do play games with a few students around campus, I just love to have fun when and where ever I can.
Who are your biggest supporters in your rapping career?
My family if anything, they support me no matter what because we all lived this together, but if i had to say like peopke wise my mother. She knows how I feel about a lot of songs I create so mainly her she’s my number one fan no doubt yo!

Surrounding his self with a ton of music such as David Ruffin to Big Daddy Kane and Rakem at a young age, Mike’ has developed his own approach towards this hip-hop game. With support from his family and pilot gang his movement to the majors is just steps away. Mike’ moved to Inkster, MI when he was going to the seventh grade, didn’t like it at all but moving out of Detroit was a must for my family. “I didn’t start creating tracks until I was about 11 years old but stopped and started it again when I was about 16; This was always a dream for me but where I was from, I never thought I could find my self and make something out of me. I was so different when I was young because I went to the most popular school, and well honestly I was the lame and was the one being picked on all of the time but that all stopped when I hit high school haahaa.
